Why I want to be a governor:

I live locally in the community and believe in improving the educational opportunities for all children. I just so happened to come into contact with a teacher at the school on my road after she had attended one of my geography briefings. They talked about how their school was in need of a governor from the wider community. I was already a governor of another school at the time and knew of the benefits of supporting a school community in that way. Before I knew it, I was governor at Mount Primary.

Personal information: In my day job I am a School Improvement Officer. This involves working with schools to develop their curriculum subjects. I specialise in English, Phonics, Geography, D&T and Computing. I am the father of two young children. I am originally from Liverpool and moved to New Brighton in 2021.
